No license is required to take our classes. Our training is designed for anyone passionate about locs — whether you're a licensed cosmetologist, a natural hair enthusiast, or someone looking to start a new career. However, check your state's requirements if you plan to work professionally.
That's exactly who our 4-Week and 10-Week programs are designed for! We start from the absolute basics — proper parting, product knowledge, and foundational techniques. Many of our most successful graduates came in with no prior experience.
Absolutely! All courses except the Look & Learn offer flexible payment plans. Just pay the deposit to secure your spot, then complete payments weekly. We want training to be accessible — call us at 713-485-4000 to discuss a plan that works for you.
Yes! For all hands-on courses (3-Day, 4-Week, and 10-Week), we provide models every single day. You'll work on real clients with diverse hair textures and loc stages, giving you practical experience that translates directly to your future career.
For our 4-Week and 10-Week programs, all tools and products are included — you don't need to bring anything but yourself and a notebook. For the 3-Day Hands-On, we recommend bringing your own clips and comb, but we have extras available if needed.
Deposits are non-refundable but can be applied to a future class date. If you need to reschedule, just let us know at least 7 days in advance and we'll move your enrollment to the next available session at no extra charge.
